'Pineapple' is a bi-colour, beefsteak tomato that is named after its colour and size. It has a subtle pineapple taste and is a colossal fruit that is a great choice for salads. The plant yields tomatoes that are sweet and meaty and that are not overburdened with seeds. This heirloom tomato is said to have originated in Kentucky. Requires well-drained soil that has been prepared with compost prior to planting, choose a position that enjoys full sun.
How to plant: Sow directly into the veggie patch or raise seedlings and then transplant. Space plants apart 50cm apart. They will take approximately 90-100 days to maturity. For best results, stake plant and prune to two main stems. Keep well watered and pick when mature.
