Rhododendron - campanulatum ssp campanulatum x fortunei ssp fortunei
Compact evergreen shrub with broad, dense growing habit and dark-green glossy foliage. Tolerates full sun and is therefore suitable for any garden situation, including coastal planting. In late spring to early summer, large open trusses of lilac-blue flowers with maroon blotches make a delightful show. Requires well-drained, humus-rich, acidic soil.
