Rhododendron hybrida - arboreum x ponticum?
Tall, vigorous, evergreen shrub with long, leathery, dark-green foliage. Enormous trusses of clear, bright-red flowers with crimson spots appear in early to mid spring. A spectacular, low maintenance addition to any garden that provides dappled shade. This variety is suitable for warmer climates.
Requires well-draining, humus-rich, acidic soil.
