Rhododendron - 'Purple Splendour' x 'Arthur Bedford'
Medium sized evergreen shrub with compact habit and glossy, dark-green foliage. In spring, gorgeous funnel-shaped, deep-mauve blooms with a black blotch and frilly-edges, adorn the plant.
This variety flowers readily from a young age. Prefers dappled sun and requires well-draining, humus-rich, acidic soil.
