Rhododendron hybrid - Standishii x blood red form of arboreum
A vigorous and hardy evergreen shrub with upright, dense habit and dark-green foliage that grows all the way to the ground. This shrub is suited to warmer climates.
Makes an excellent informal hedge or screen. In springtime, large trusses of bright-pink flowers with brownish-red spotting, burst into bloom.
Prefers partial shade and requires well-draining, humus rich, acidic soil.
