Hardy evergreen shrub with compact growth habit. Perfect to grow under large trees where it receives dappled shade. In mid spring, it produces masses of magenta-purple flowers that are spectacularly set off by the olive-green, textured foliage.

Requires well draining, humus-rich, acidic soil.
