Pieris japonica
Snow Queen is a small evergreen shrub. New foliage emerges in a striking red that then fades to a light pink, then cream and finally turns into a glossy green. Masses of clustered buds bloom into a stunning pure white bell-shaped flower in spring. Requires a well-drained, humus-rich, acidic soil.
