Rhododendron molle
Sylphides is a compact deciduous shrub with bushy upright habit and mid-green foliage that turns to a lovely coppery-crimson colour in autumn. Mollis are a sub-genus of the rhododendron family.
In spring, masses of lovely, fragrant, bi-coloured blooms in soft-pink with a golden blotch emerge together with bright green new foliage to make a stunning display. Prefers full sun to dappled shade and well-drained, humus-rich, slightly acidic soil.
