Scarlet Pimpernel is a compact, hardy and upright growing deciduous shrub with excellent autumn foliage colour and is a sub-genus of the rhododendron family.
In mid to late spring, huge, showy trusses of single, trumpet-shaped red flowers make an unsurpassed display of colour.
Required full sun to dappled shade and well-drained, humus-rich, slightly acidic soil.
