Rhododendron molle
Hortulanus De Witte is a compact and low maintenance bushy deciduous shrub with spreading habit and small green foliage that turns a lovely orange-red in autumn. Mollis are a sub-genus of the rhododendron family.
In October-November, red buds open to reveal clusters of funnel-shaped, orange-yellow blooms that make a striking display. Prefers dappled shade and well-drained, humus-rich, slightly acidic soil.
