Vaccinium darrowii x vaccinium corymbosum - Southern Highbush
Darrow is a stocky and vigorous upright growing, evergreen plant with slightly spreading habit. New foliage growth is tinged bronze, turning deep-green on maturity. This variety produces large, light-blue, robust flavoured berries that are firm and crisp, not too sweet, and not too tart. The fruit is ready for harvest in late February-March and has an excellent shelf life. Self-pollinating, these berries are great for fresh eating or freezing. Requires at least half-day sun to full sun. Plant in well-drained, humus-rich, acidic soil.
Please note due to state quarantine we are unable to send blueberries to the following states: SA, TAS, WA, NT.
