Rhododendron molle
Avocet is a compact, hardy deciduous shrub with a dense habit and is a sub-genus of the Rhododendron family. In mid-late spring, large, white flowers with a yellow flash appear on bare stems, before the foliage emerges, to make a spectacular show.
Slow growing, it prefers full sun to dappled shade and well-draining, humus-rich, slightly acidic soil.
