Rhododendron hybrid - 'The Honourable Jean Marie de Montague' x 'Grosclaude'
Compact and evergreen with spreading habit, this shrub is one of the most popular varieties of rhododendrons. Beautiful mid-green leaves are offset in mid-spring with rounded trusses of stunning, large bright-red blooms. This variety has been known to spot flower in autumn.
Grows well under large trees with some protection from hot sun. Requires a well-draining, humus-rich, acidic soil.
