Pieris japonica
Valley Rose is an elegant, compact, evergreen shrub with a rounded shape when young, becoming upright with age. Foliage is bronze-green when young, maturing to glossy dark-green. The flowers bloom in late winter to early spring when pale-pink, bell-shaped flowers cascade down over the plant. The plant is slow growing but will flower from a young age. Prefers dappled shade and thrives in well-drained, humus-rich, acidic soil.
