Pieris japonica
Mountain Fire is a compact, evergreen shrub bearing an attractive bronze foliage that matures to dark-green. From late winter to early spring, bright-red bracts contrast beautifully against cascades of pure-white flowers. Grows well in sheltered, dappled shade and requires, well-drained, humus-rich, acidic soil.
