Pieris japonica
Forest Flame is a compact evergreen shrub. It produces striking, bright-red new leaves which turn an attractive bronze then eventually mature to dark-green. In spring, cascades of pretty white blooms adorn the plant. Prefers dappled shade and well-drained, humus-rich, acidic soil.
