Rhododendron - degronianum ssp. yakushimanum clone
Compact and neat, this Rhododendron will grow wider than tall and is perfect to plant in containers or in a small garden. The distinctive deep-green foliage is narrow and convex with tan indumentum on the underside. New foliage appears covered in light-silver tomentose.
In mid-spring, the light purplish-pink buds, open to reveal stunning ball-shaped trusses of white flowers with faint markings and shell-pink overtones.
Required dappled shade, well draining, humus-rich, acidic soil.
Grows to 1m over 10 years.
