Daybreak is a deciduous, low maintenance shrub with green foliage. Mollis are a sub-genus of the rhododendron family.

In mid-spring, before the new growth appears, clusters of blooms in salmon-orange with a bright yellow flare, open to reveal a stunning display of unsurpassed beauty. Prefers dappled shade and well-drained, humus-rich, slightly acidic soil.
