Rhododendron molle
Golden Sunset is a deciduous shrub with an upright habit. In mid-spring, massive trusses of funnel-shaped, vivid-yellow flowers, tinged red with a vivid yellow-orange blotch adorn the bare branches.
This mollis is not fragrant but makes a very beautiful addition to the garden. Foliage is light to mid-green tinged with bronze.
Best planted in full sun to dappled shade in well-draining, humus-rich, acidic soil.
