Magnolia
Raffillii is a deciduous, erect growing, medium to tall shrub that is perfect to use for feature plantings. In early spring, masses of deep rose-pink buds open on bare branches to reveal gorgeous pink blooms with white inner lobes. The green foliage then unfurls to provide a truly breath-taking sight.
This variety can spot flower in autumn.
As with all magnolias, it prefers a moist, fertile and well-drained soil that is slightly acidic. A sunny aspect in a protected position is best. They also tolerate partial shade, and some protection from strong wind will enhance and prolong the flowering season.
