Rhododendron

Compact, quick growing evergreen shrub. Foliage is dark-green and aromatic with reddish-brown indumentum. Dense clusters of intense blue-purple blooms with a pale centre appear in October to make a stunning display of colour.

Likes full sun to dappled shade and is frost tolerant. Requires well-drained, humus-rich, acidic soil.
