Large evergreen shrub with open habit and medium sized dark-green foliage. Tall and fast growing, it is perfect for an open garden area which receives dappled shade. Prune regularly to maintain shape.
In November, pale-mauve buds open to reveal very distinctive, trumpet-shaped trusses of pure-white blooms with a conspicuous dorsal blotch of rich-purple, overlaid with black. Requires well-drained, humus-rich, acidic soil.
