Rhododendron - Catawbiense x Ponticum
Very hardy, dense evergreen shrub with dull mid-green foliage. Fast growing and vigorous, it is perfect for hedging and is tolerant to sun and wind. In late spring, large colourful buds open to reveal trusses of stunning, pale mauve-blue, frilly-edged blooms in a demi-double form.
Prefers a well-draining, humus-rich, acidic soil.
