Azalea Indica
Hardy and vigorous evergreen shrub with dark-green foliage. Great in pots on shady patios, informal garden beds or under trees. This Azalea has a higher heat tolerance but does best in a position which enjoys dappled shade. In spring, masses of candy-pink flowers with a dark-pink blotch on the throat, make a very pretty display of colour.
This variety can bloom again in the cooler weather. Requires moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil.
